ERNi-1 is a commercially pure nickel welding wire designed for welding Nickel 200 and Nickel 201, as well as for joining nickel to carbon steel and stainless steel. It provides excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in alkaline environments, along with good ductility and stable mechanical properties.
The wire delivers a smooth and stable arc, low spatter, and clean weld bead appearance, making it suitable for high-quality welding applications. ERNi-1 is widely used where purity and corrosion resistance are critical.
Thanks to its high nickel content, ERNi-1 offers excellent resistance to caustic alkalis and maintains performance in demanding chemical and electronic applications.

1. What is ERNi-1 welding wire used for?
ERNi-1 is used for welding pure nickel 200/201 and for joining nickel to steel or stainless steel in corrosion-resistant applications.
2. What shielding gas is recommended for ERNi-1?
Pure Argon is recommended for both TIG and MIG welding to ensure a stable arc and clean weld.
3. Can ERNi-1 be used for dissimilar metal welding?
Yes. It performs well when welding nickel to carbon steel or stainless steel, offering good metallurgical compatibility.
4. What is the difference between ERNi-1 and ERNiCu-7?
ERNi-1 is a pure nickel wire suitable for alkaline environments, while ERNiCu-7 contains copper and is better suited for marine and seawater corrosion resistance.
