ER309L is a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel welding wire designed for welding 309 and 309L stainless steels. It is particularly effective in dissimilar metal welding, such as welding stainless steels to carbon steels or low alloy steels. The low carbon content reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion, making ER309L suitable for applications where corrosion resistance and mechanical strength are critical.
